FrackiewiczThe Venerable Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche is the Spiritual Head of Nalandabodhi, the primary advisor to Nitartha international on Tibetan educational systems, the Honorary Chairman of the Board of Nitartha international and serves as the Spiritual Head of the Marpa Foundation for the Study Practice and Support of the Buddha Dharma.

One of the most accomplished teachers of Tibetan Buddhism living today, often compared to the great yogi Milarepa, Khenpo Rinpoche is widely respected for his scholarship in each of four major divisions of Tibetan studies. As senior abbot of the Nalanda Institute of Tibetan Studies in Rumtek, Sikkim, he was instrumental in educating most of the younger generation of Tibetan teachers of the Karma Kagyu tradition.

Since 1975, Khenpo Rinpoche has trained and guided the development of many Western translators through in-depth instruction in key Tibetan texts. In 1986, he established the Marpa Institute for Translators in Nepal, well known for producing accomplished translators of Tibetan into Western languages. The author of numerous books and articles, including Lorik and Takrik, Khenpo Rinpoche provided the primary commentary facilitating the translation of Ngedon Gyamtso, Mahamudra: the Ocean of Wisdom (forthcoming from Nitartha international Publications).

The Dzogchen Ponlop, Rinpoche, Photo by Ryszard K. FrackiewiczThe Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is a recognized lineage holder of both the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages. Rinpoche serves as Abbot of Dzogchen Monastery, one of the six principal seats of the Nyingma lineage. In 1979, His Holiness, the Sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa, supreme head of the Kagyu lineage, formally empowered and officially proclaimed The Seventh Dzogchen Ponlop, Rinpoche as one of the lineage holders of the Karma Kagyu school and heart son of His Holiness Karmapa. He holds an Acharya degree, or Master of Buddhist Philosophy, from Nalanda Institute in Rumtek, Sikkim. The Dzogchen Ponlop, Rinpoche is regarded as an exceptional teacher and one of the leading scholars of his generation. Exemplifying the finest accomplishments of the classical Buddhist training in meditation and philosophy, Rinpoche is also gifted in the areas of painting, calligraphy, poetry and computer technologies. His growing body of teachings has become a powerful resource for serious dharma students around the world. His language fluency and understanding of Eastern and Western cultures make Rinpoche uniquely qualified to transmit Buddhist teachings to the modern world.

Since 1996, Rinpoche has been the principal teacher at Nitartha Institute, a month-long, traditional curriculum of Buddhist studies, held at Gampo Abbey in Nova Scotia. In recent years, Rinpoche has been a Visiting Professor of Religious Studies at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and teaches annually in Texas; Colorado; Washington; British Columbia; Germany; and Asia. Rinpoche is known for his sharp intellect, humor and the lucidity of his teaching style.
